Call the shop to reserve a spot. We strive to keep classes small for a comfortable and stress free environment so classes fill up fast.
Our class is $85 per person ($75 with gun purchase). We are now introducing discounted group rates! 5 to 10 people in a group will be $80 per person. 10 or more people in a group will be $75 per person. For all registrants we require a $40 deposit at the time of registration with the balance due on the day of the class.
Classes are held on Saturday and last approximately 8 hours. This varies based on class size and the students being trained.
The class will include fingerprinting at no additional charge. We will conduct both the range qualification and test qualification in one day. When you leave the class you will have everything ready that you need to submit to SLED for your CWP.
Classes DO NOT include firearms, ammunition, hearing protection, and eye protection. You will need 50 rounds of ammunition for your concealed carry handgun. Please bring your gun cased. Multiple magazines or speedloaders are highly recommended. If you need assistance with any of these items please let us know in the shop ahead of time and we can make special arrangements for you.
We greatly discourage the use of revolvers for this class. Preferably the student will have a semi-automatic handgun of concealable length (less than 12 inches) and 3 additional magazines of ammunition. For student's that do not yet have a firearm we will provide a rental gun and ammunition for a rate of $35 for the day of the course. We can also provide hearing and eye protection prior to the course from our in store inventory at a 5% discount for students.
A concealable holster is also required for this class. We offer some low cost but high quality concealable holsters in the shop. We also offer custom made leather holsters made in shop. Come in and see Zach to discuss your holster options.
Time will be limited for breaks. A lot of our students find it helpful to pack a lunch and snacks for the day.
South Carolina Requirements:
1. Age 21 years or older
2. Not prohibited from possessing a firearm
3. Resident of South Carolina, or a non-resident who owns property in South Carolina, or military personnel on permanent change of station orders.
Required Documents:
1. Copy of Driver's Liscense
2. Copy of Social Security Card
3. Proof of training (provided during class)
4. Fingerprints (provided during class)
Renewal Information:
Renewal is available upon payment of a $50 renewal fee to SLED, completion of a renewal application and submission of a copy of the applicant’s valid South Carolina driver’s license or South Carolina identification card. Make sure you keep up with your renewal date. If your CWP expires you may be required to complete the class again.
